Is Montessori religiously based?

​”Montessori education is not inherently religious and does not, in itself, provide any form of religious instruction. However, it does purposefully encourage exploration, enjoyment and respect for all forms of human spirituality.”

Do you offer half AND full days for toddler aged children?

BMN offers both half and full day programs for toddlers; both of these programs run 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)

Do you offer half AND full days for Casa aged children?

BMN is pleased to offer both half and full day programs. Our half day Casa program runs from 8:45 am until 12:30 pm. Please note that half days are offered to our preschool aged children ONLY (3 years or younger). Spots are limited.

What are the teacher to child ratios?

As per the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), ratios are as follows:

  • 1 Teacher to 5 Toddler-aged Children
  • 1 Teacher to 8 Preschool-aged Children (Portage Rd)
  • 1 Teacher to 13 Kindergarten-aged Children (Hagar Ave)

What are the average class sizes?

Our class sizes are as follows:

Portage Road site

  • Toddler 1 - 15 children
  • Toddler 2 - 9 children
  • Casa 1 - 15 children

Hagar Ave site

  • Casa 2 - up to 26 children

Does BMN provide hot meals?

BMN offers students nutritious snacks (two per day; morning and afternoon), along with a hot or cold catered lunch catered by Little Ones Lunches. Children who are exempt from hot lunch will be asked to provide their own healthy lunch alternative

Please note that we are a nut-free facility.
