BMN offers an exceptional Toddler program that is specifically designed to meet the unique developmental needs of children ages 12 months to 3 years. Our toddler classrooms feature furniture particularly suited for this age group (at the child’s level), eliminating the need for assistance from adults. The child is able to move about their environment freely, completing purposeful work that engages all of their senses. In this way, the carefully crafted environment encourages independence, which inturn increases the child’s confidence.
Our goal is to help the child to do things for him/herself. This includes teaching the children self- help skills such as spooning/ pouring, mopping up a spill and toilet independence. Our Toddler classrooms are peaceful and inspiring environments that encourage the naturally curious child to explore and make sense of their world.
We are pleased to offer both half day and full day Toddler programs to our families at our Portage Road location.
The Full Day child attends the Toddler program 8:45 am - 3:45 pm, 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).
Our full-day Toddler program includes movement time, a rest period, as well as a healthy lunch and two nutritious snacks. Our warm and friendly staff also work to guide the child to toilet independence.
The half day child attends from the program 8:45 am - 12:00 pm, 5 days per week. The half day Toddler program includes movement time, a healthy lunch and snack, as well as support with toileting.
Please note that toddlers must be able to sit/walk independently and sleep on a cot in order to gain admission into our Toddler program.
